Happy (late) Thanksgiving!

Happy (late) Thanksgiving!

This is probably super late, but, Happy Thanksgiving to all of you guys out there. Although we may not have everything that we wanted to have around us, we should always be thankful for the things that we do have around us.

I usually don't do these things, but first, I just want to say, how thankful I am to have such a great and loving mom. She has been there supporting me through my ups and my downs. My mom is like my best friend. I can tell her everything and ask her for advice any time and any day. She's also been super supportive of me going to art school, which is not common for an Asian parent. I'm really thankful to have her support because it really helps me a lot with my confidence.

Another thing I'm pretty thankful about is being able to have my dog, Treasure. Although he is a dog, he's like the best dog ever. Whenever I'm depressed or sad or crying, he instantly knows that I'm not feeling happy and just comes wagging his tail over to me and tries comforting me. Also, he's a super cute and fluffy, I'm really happy that my parents agreed that I can get a dog. ^^

One last thing that I'm really thankful about is the life that I have. I know that a lot of people are struggling to make it through, and so am I, but I'm just really thankful that I have food every day in front of me at the table. Clothes to wear when it's cold as shit so I don't have to freeze, and a roof over our heads to give us comfort and feel like home. This is the first time I've ever felt at home (because I've moved so much ever since I was young), and although I don't really love the area I live at because it's so boring, it's really safe at night and I'm thankful to be here. I could sit outside in front of my yard and just stare at the stars any day I want and not be worried that I might get kidnapped because my parents worked so hard to provide a place where I can be safe.

Here were some of the things that my mom has ordered from Harry and David. Since most of our family are all in Taiwan, my Godmother ShunAn (my mom's older sister) and my uncle Andrew came over to celebrate Thanksgiving with us. I also invited Jarren to come and eat and celebrate Thanksgiving with us. We had to celebrate early because I had work from 10 PM Thanksgiving night to 7 AM the next day, which was Black Friday. Basically, we had a Thanksgiving lunch, but even though it was early, it was nice getting to talk everyone.

Also! I'm sorry most of the pictures were out of focus, I didn't really realize it until after I ate the Thanksgiving lunch with everyone and imported the pictures to my computer. I realized afterwards that my lens was on manual focus not auto focus... Oh well, they all look delicious though, right?

Happy Thanksgiving from the Wang & Maher family!
